India beats china to log highest growth in subscriptions [Mobile Phones].the fast just go furious. India the world`s largest growing mobile market, aadded a record 8.77 million mobile phones connections in January 2008.In India, the total number of telephone connections reached 281.62 millionat the end of January 2008. The total tele-density is increase to 24.63%at the end of January 2008.The total wireless subscribers [GSM, CMA, WLL base stood at 242.40 millionat the end of January 2008.This is just for your information only. I shall appreciate if you can give melittle idea on the same subject [mobile phones] in your country. We are compiling a data on the mobile phones usage at present.
